CAMPAIGNS LIKE THIS ARE OUR

bread and butter. We know how to pre-produce and creatively tune a series of short docs like this (as a matter of fact, we’ve done exactly that for another Christian university, John’s alma mater, Oklahoma Baptist U.).

Universities across the states are at a crossroads (we empathize: so is our own industry). They need to make an argument to prospective students based on the REAL VALUE good education can add to a person’s life.

We want to help tell that story.

synchronized remote production

doesn’t go off properly without careful attention to detail in prep.

We know how to make shoots like this run like a well-oiled machine. We were neck-deep in production when COVID hit, so we had to re-tool all our processes overnight to an entirely remote workflow. Not to toot our own horn too hard, but we got very good at it.

We’ll set up a fully remote on-set livestream so that we (and client) can monitor interviews live.

We’ll craft a production bible that will help the distributed teams stay aligned.

And we’ll always stay flexible.

a long list of deliverables with simultaneous turnovers, smoothly-run VFX and finishing handoffs, and clean turnover to markets and agencies.

John (partner & CD) formerly spent years post-supervising campaigns just like this one, and we have a (very, very) deep bench of post-production all-stars who can knock these cuts out of the park.

docs should look like films,

period, end of sentence. We want to bring that crispy, elevated commercial look to this project, without sacrificing the realness (the verité if we’re gonna get fancy about it).

These images should feel natural and filmic, carefully composed, and gently nudged in the direction we want with minimal set dec.

We have a deep bench of friends and collaborators all over the country who we can happily bring on board to fill the ranks of the distributed teams we’ll need to build. We’ll collaborate with GCU to build teams we know can execute high-level, cinematic visuals while running a remote set without the technical glitches that so often plague things like live-streaming.

WINDING DOWN

We are enormously grateful for the chance to pitch on this project. We really mean that: we’re a newer production company (although we ourselves are, increasingly, the old-timers on set; this world just keeps on a-turning with or without our permission), so without Tongal, we’d probably never have heard about this brief.

We truly believe we can bring something special to this project, and we’re so excited to dive in and chat more.
